IMPORTANT!!! 5/10/06

The Excalibur Discussion Forum, and all of forum.onecenter.com for that matter, seems to have died a horrible death about three days ago. While you can view the forum (with no messages on it anymore) you can not post a message at all. And so, after seven years on forum.onecenter.com I've been forced to call it quits with them and move to a more "progressive and updated" version of a forum (which believe it or not I'm not thrilled about). For the time being, the forum will be located at Livejournal.com at the following address...

http://community.livejournal.com/xmenexcalforum/

I will try to find a better spot for the forum (and hopefully a more "creative" format where I can change the background images and such) in time, but for now this was the best I could do. I hope everyone will come back and post to the forum again. The only drawback is that you'll have to join livejournal (it's free) to post on the forum, but you will be able to use avatars and stuff that people seem to love now a days. So, that's that I guess. Sorry for the lost posts. I hope that I'll be able to find someway to contact forum.onecenter.com sometime and hopefully recover at least part of the forum, but for now I'm not holding out much hope (I really wanted to start saving those posts in an archive since we had about six years on there, but *sigh* oh well). I'll get the links changed to the forum ASAP on the main page here, in the meantime just use the above link I put up. Thanks for the understanding.

The X-men, an inspirational team of mutants that somehow manage to change the world, have touched many an X-fan's heart. I am no different. These mutants that fight so hard every day for the cause and the dream of one man, Professor Charles Xavier, are a team to respect. The characters in this series of comic books are a varied bunch. Some are sarcastic, some humorous, and some so realistic that they reach out, grab your heart, and never let go...and the character that did this for me is a young woman by the name of Katherine Pryde. Going by the names Sprite, Ariel, and later and still today Shadowcat, this young woman was my favorite character from the moment I read her first dialouge boxes. She is a complex character...a genius IQ, a mutant power to phase her molecules... sometimes that power going out of control and almost destroying her, the young woman that goes simply by the nickname "Kitty" has lived through a lot of adversity and pain, but still finds the will to go on and live her life to the fullest. She can still smile after losing her best friend to the legacy virus, another friend to a stupid act of hatred, and yet another to an uncertain future when she sacrificed herself to bring a teamate back from the brink of time itself. Kitty has dealt with much grief and personal tragedy, but she prevails. This young woman above all is one worthy of respect, and for some fans something more.

Greetings, I am Shadowcat Rules! Welcome to my webpage dedicated to the aforementioned Shadowcat. I hope you enjoy my X-related pages, my fan fiction that I have written for the X-men (writing is a hobby), my gallery of my fan art, and at times pictures that I have found to be really cool in the X-books, and all of the other various objects from my life in general. There is a LOT to this webpage, so try not to get lost *wink*, and above all have fun here...that is what it was created for. Also if you are a fan of the X-books, you might want to check out my links page for links to other cool sights. Anyhow, enjoy the page, and thanks for stopping by. Since this page is FREQUENTLY under construction come back often to see what has changed. I hope you enjoy your stay. Ah yes...and if you are curious or bored enough, please check out my Acknowledgements and disclaimer page for both necessary and acknowlegementory (hmmm...is that a word...oh well it is now) information. Enjoy all.
