Sammy's new redesign came to me for the simple reason that I really miss his days on X-force. Daniels did wonders in designing a uniform for Sam that looked good on him and made him look older then twelve. Thus I tried to bring him back toward that look, while at the same time redoing him just enough to get rid of some of the gadgets and all that annoyed me. With this look Sammy can conceal a gun *duh* in his jacket, and can easily strap on other armory should he need it considering the fact (let's face it folks) Sammy is a in close and personal type of mutant power, and even if he has managed to get it long range, it won't do him a bit of good against Prime Sentinels...thus the gun idea. That and he worked under Cable for crying out loud...big guns come first and foremost when taking on an enemy type of mantality right? I also gave him short hair back because to put it quite simply I can not STAND him in long hair...he looks stupid. I also made it so he grew into the ears, even though some artists when drawing him in X-men have wanted to bring him back to his akward "Opy" stage in development.
