Here is my new redesign of Kitty's uniform for post-OZT. Her old uniform gets trashed for those who aren't going to be following this and Scott's team is going more covert than ever to try and blend into normal society to try and shut down a couple big organizations. Now than to the explainations on what I did. Kitty is wearing body armor underneath the trench coat in the SOE (Spanish Foreign Legion) style from about the 1970's. It's light weight and strong and covers everything it needs to to make sure she doesn't get hurt by flying blasts and it's flexible enough that it's not like metal plates that would cause problems when doing things like...oh...tumbling. Her hair is back in a very good bun to make sure it doesn't get in her way in a fight and is held up with a special type of hair clip that takes sections of hair to hold it tightly and then a middle pin is stuck down through the device and clipped into the hair piece. It can double as a dagger or a lock pick in a fix. I might draw that out later so you get a better idea of what I have going through my head. She is wearing steel toed combat boots for premium butt whooping and the pants can quickly be secured if she needs to go through a swamp or something. She is wearing a black shirt underneath the body armor, but that could change with whatever mood she wanted to portray...it's there to stop chafing from things like the guns and to soak up sweat. Underneath that is the usual X-woman "look at how little I can wear" undersuit that consists of a tank top leotard basically, but it works.

She is wearing a trenchcoat and before I get hate mail that it doesn't make good sense let me explain why. Underneath a trench coat she can carry things like big guns and other weapons without worries of flashing them off to the general public. For covert missions she'll need that. Built into the trench coat are a few neat things. For one she's got a two-in-one built in sheath on the back of the trenchcoat that with a few snaps at the bottom can create a deeper pocket for the swords so that they'll slip down into the jacket and she can flip a duster shoulder piece over them so that people don't know she's carrying. If she doesn't mind them seeing she puts the super Shiar snaps (hey if people can do unstable molecules I can do that) up a little higher and let the handles show for easy reach. She most times is carrying a To, a navaja blade a variety of throwing daggers and a variety of guns and other weapons depending on necessity. The Tao and the Navaja blade are used as utilitrian means to help Kitty and be good when she has to tumble a lot. It made more sense to me than the usual katana. The trench coat also has a built in line right under the front pockets that if an enemy decides to grab it will velcro off in a pinch. That way Kitty doesn't have to worry about being used as a weapon should someone get a hold of the coat and her mutant powers are useless to phase out of it. The trench coat is also secured by one snap in front so she can lose the coat pretty easily in a pinch.

The color of the uniform should be dark blue for the body armor and dark grey for the rest of the outfit, except for the trench coat which is black faux leather (it's lighter...gotta love unstable molecules huh?) with blue trim for decoration. I tried to lighten it up considering it'd be going into a comic book, but not too light because if you're trying to use ninja training going around in bright cornflower blue and yellow is a good way to get shot. It was just a thought.

Here is my redesign of Kitty's uniform. Okay first her coat comes off really easy if she needs to shuck it, her communicator can then be moved to her belt and clipped on so that she doesn't lose it. The coat comes off and underneath it she has on a black body suit much like Janeway wears in Star Trek: Voyager. If you don't watch the show it is a black tank top like underbody shirt that tucks into the pants. She could then quickly ditch the accesories on her costume and blend into a crowd seeing as how her outfit would look like something someone would wear nowadays. Now if you are wondering why she is wearing a pair of sunglasses on her coat, or that she has a gun, you would have to read my stories...it has to do with Prime sentinels. Now then, the pouch on her belt is for her sunglasses, and the yellow metal wrap around on her thigh is her old shoulder piece that converts into many things, but one of them being nunchucks (thanks for pointing out the spelling error Killroy). I just moved it from her shoulder to her leg. Her belt also does something neat, but I haven't shared that yet, so you are going to have to wait :-). I tried to convert her old uniforms (the ones I liked) into a new look for her, and at the same time make her darker, considering what she has been through in the last couple of months Marvel time *rolls eyes*. I think that is about it in the way of explainations for the uniform, and if you don't like the art...sorry...I'm a novice.
