Gambit's Costume

This costume has been overhauled, recolored, darkened, and otherwise screwed around with by me in the past week that it is really and truly amazing that I didn't just decide to kill the character off and have done with the whole affair (LOL!!!)...truthfully it was a pain to get the jacket, hair, smirk, and crap right on this costume (translation: me + drawing Gambit= we not get along). I put Gambit in dark colors because the pink made NO SENSE and made me wonder (if not for his womanizing behavior) as to if he was the pigeon holed "flaming gay" (now I'm going to get killed *sigh*). I also got rid of his metal boots and put leather in thier place because...well for God's sake think if he hit a wet roof in those metal ones he wears now...the roof would win a million times to one...no traction and they reflect back light too...and you would think he would have gelded himself with those metal undies he wears on the outside of his uniform when he did some of those flips...makes me at least respect his flexibility if nothing else ;-). As for his cards...nope got rid of those too...in their place I put throwing blades...to show a new and perhaps smarter Gambit (double the damage...you know...if the explosion doesn't get them at least the blades will cut them and blades go further then cards do when thrown). I gave him his longer hair and his bo-staff is under his coat...as are the slits he has in his costume now... for backup cards or throwing blades should he want or need them, and lock picks and such. I put a belt with a commuicator on him and he also can strap one to his wrist...thus he can go covert if he wants too...and it shows that he is part of a team now instead of just hanging around. The trenchcoat is just such an essential part of Gambit's character it would be almost impossible to redo the uniform without it :-).
